Our strategy about the UN decade on Ecosystem Restoration

Free Spirit is proud to join leading environmental organizations as an official partner in the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems, vital to our lives and well-being, all around the world. As an actor and official partner, Free Spirit will play an active role in managing and shaping the Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Building on our extensive experience to protect and restore nature, our long-term commitment will entail actively funding and leading efforts to realize ecosystem restoration globally, and contributing new science and research to help scale up these efforts effectively.

Free Spirit provides financial support to few non profit organizations in the field, planting trees and protecting the ocean.

Free Spirit has chosen to provide financial support to local organizations with a sustainable approach. The objective is to motivate more organizations to lead more restoration campaigns by integrating sustainability.

Free Spirit provides support to any person who want to be part of the change. Through several public awareness campaigns, Free Spirit accelerates its impact on all the citizens across the globe by educating them on ecosystem restoration.

Since 2017, Free Spirit has shared a lot of recommendations about daily sustainable practices. As the human activities are the main causes of the climate crisis, we decided to highlight the solutions that already exist and that anybody can apply.

In 2020, Free Spirit created the EXPLORE project which is an exploration and research vessel with a positive impact. With a focus on innovation, EXPLORE is a NEXT GEN ship dedicated to inspiring vessels of the coming decade. With regard to sustainability, EXPLORE is a ship with a positive impact on the environment. The goal of that new initiative is to help the marine industry to accelerate ecological transition, protecting the oceans and respecting marine wildlife.

Free Spirit has decided to support capacity of marginalized groups that stand to lose most from the continued destruction of ecosystems – such as indigenous peoples, women and youth to take an active role in restoration. Therefore, we provide support in priority to small non profit organizations.

One of the strategies of Free Spirit is to create a movement with artists (music composers, photographers, models, dancers, pianists, painters, etc…). Free spirit has created the amazing concert ‘EMAJINARIUM – Concert for the planet’ and another initiative which is a fine art photography project dedicated to raising public awareness on climate change : The Essence of Life.

Educating the young generations about climate change is the 2nd mission of Free Spirit. It is youth and future generations who are most impacted by the consequences of the current rapid destruction of ecosystems. We create workshops, movies and events to educate the young generations.

We consider that it is critical to listen, to learn and to teach. This is the main reason why we actively work with local non profit organizations and we have created several digital campaigns to raise public awareness.
